The Corner Kitchen Domestic Helper Training Courses
The name of the game is ‘Think Like a Chef’. More than anything else, Preparation and Organization are the hallmarks of a kitchen hero. After 30 hours of training with the professional chefs of Corner Kitchen, your domestic helper will not only have learned 50 unique recipes but will also understand the fundamentals of food safety, running a good kitchen and how to plan and execute a successful dinner party or brunch. Helpers will finish this course with a Corner Kitchen recipe book, a menu planning guide that will help you choose dishes your helper can make and a new-found confidence in preparing great meals.
The class will meet on a weekly basis for 6 consecutive weeks. Each class will be 5 hours long and will have a specific topic such as pastas or dessert making. Your helper will prepare and cook all of the recipes that day with the guidance from our chef to make sure they have learned the recipes and understood the techniques. The class will have a short wrap up session when the helpers will taste all of the dishes with the chef to ensure they develop a palate for this type of food.
The course is designed to bolster the fundamental understanding of cooking and also learn specific recipes. Every week we will focus on techniques and recipes building from what was learned the previous week. This way the basics will be reinforced. We will even follow up with some quizzes to make sure! Upon completion of the course, your helper will be award and official Corner Kitchen apron and be entitled to attend one of our open advanced technique classes at no additional charge.
