About Corner Kitchen

Corner Kitchen is not large, a chic 700 square feet area made up of a central kitchen and dining area, but the fact that it is an open space that gets plenty of light from floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that look out to a park, makes it a very pleasurable place to cook in. Every cook has his or her dream kitchen, and Corner Kitchen is mine. It has been thoughtfully and intelligently designed, and outfitted with high quality cooking ranges and a battery of excellent equipments. Many of these are nifty kitchen tools and brands that I cherish and have become indispensable in my own home kitchen.

A note about the photographs on this website

All the pictures on the website are taken at home with a friend’s incredible Cannon EOS Rebel XT, in real time. I shop for the ingredients, lay them out before cooking to be photographed. And then, after I have cooked each meal and it has been photographed, we sit down and eat it while it is still hot.

A note of thanks

I want to thank a few people without whose help Corner Kitchen wouldn’t be what it is.  Howard Ling, owner of Harvester Vegetarian Restaurant. Thank you for all your help and insight, without which, this project would have had a very lethargic kick-off.  Chef Cale Jackson, Chef Tim Broderick, Chef Adam Levine, Designer Danielle Huthart of Whitespace and Interior Designer Philip Po and Webmaster Jo Dehaney.

And last but not least, my husband Bernard for his undying faith and support in my cooking. Thank you for being my biggest fan and always finishing your plate, even when some were not spectacular. And also for the sparkle and excitement in your eyes when you ask me, “what’s for dinner?”
